Netsize Launches Smart Application Billing Mobile Payment solution

Mobile commerce and communications enabler Netsize announced the introduction of Smart Application Billing, a global solution enabling mobile application storefronts to use operator-based mobile payment billing to charge for app downloads and usage. In addition, the solution offers billing within the app itself. According to Netsize, Smart Application Billing combines direct operator billing, SMS messaging and WAP billing mobile payment services–the solution dynamically proposes the preferred billing method to the application according to the characteristics of the consumer’s network operator, relying on WAP billing when other methods are not available.

“Our application store customers observe an increase of their revenues by 400 percent as soon as they add operator-based billing,” said Netsize chairman and CEO Stanislas Chesnais in a prepared statement. “On application store visits that use a mobile device over a WiFi connection, we record a 30 percent increase in payment transactions.”
